Addressing an inauguration ceremony, he said that the energy crisis being faced by the country is due to the corruption and incompetence of the previous government.
But he said that the present government is making concerted efforts to end the energy crisis.
The proposed is project is spread over 10,000 acres in Cholistan desert which will have the capacity to produce 1000 megawatts.
It is anticipated that initially 100 megawatt from the project will be added to the national grid by the first quarter of next year.
In 2nd phase 400 megawatt, 3rd phase 600 megawatt and 4th phase 1000 megawatt electricity will be added to national grid.
At the end of the ceremony Punjab chief minister excused from laying the groundbreaking stone and left the ceremony while promising that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will soon perform the task.
